“Amazônia at the Crossroads: Setting an Agenda for Transdisciplinary Research of Consequence”, Front Royal VA Jan 17, 2023

It was such a pleasure to participate in “Amazônia at the Crossroads: Setting an Agenda for Transdisciplinary Research of Consequence” these past few days. Many thanks to Dr. Jeremy Campbell and the team of George Mason University’s Institute for a Sustainable Earth for their very kind invitation.

The meeting’s goal was to bring together a group of scientists and researchers from over seven Amazonian countries to think about the future of research in the Amazon basin and what new research questions, initiatives and scales should be funded and considered. The outcome of the meeting will hopefully help to define funding strategies coordinated by the Belmont forum in association to their allied funding organizations.
